ECHO Performing Arts Project • Thursday, February 25 • 7pm • University of Mississippi, Bishop Hall Room 209
This dramatical theatrical performance of traditional Native American dance and song features performers from Hawaii, Alaska, Massachusetts and our own Mississippi band of Choctaws. This performance is funded by a grant from the United States Department of Education and participating tribal governments. There is no admission fee, but donations are welcome for the Yocona International Folk Festival, which is a non-profit charity whose mission is education of Mississippi children, preservation of Mississippi cultures, and the development of heritage tourism across North Mississippi.

Walter Anderson and World Literature Art Exhibit •

An exhibit of work by Mississippi native, Walter Anderson, one of America's greatest artists. The exhibit opened during the 16th annual Oxford Conference for the Book, which celebrated Anderson's life and work. The exhibit will remain open through January. The Worship Experience featuring the Mississippi Mass Choir, Favour, University of Mississippi Gospel Choir, and an all inclusive community gathered for the purpose of ministering in songs. The funds received will support the renovation and operation of the Burns-Belfry Heritage Cultural Center in Oxford.
