Gates open Friday at 3pm-Midnight
Gates open Saturday at 10am-10pm
Admission is $3 (no reentry) or $10 (to come and go Friday and Saturday)
Join us for a weekend of food, fun, and festivities as we welcome championship and amateur cookers to the grounds of the Oxford Conference Center on October 24-25, 2008. Teams will be competing for over $20,000 in cash and prizes. Proceeds from the event will benefit the United Way of Oxford and the Oxford Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Like Motorcycles? Join us for the Inaugural Motorcycle Rally
Bring your bike on Saturday, October 25 and enjoy breakfast, guided rides around Oxford and Lafayette County, a bike show with prizes and awards, and get admission to the BBQ Festival as well! Or, if you like to just watch, festival admission gets you into the bike show also! For more information on the bike rally contact Hugh at 232-2367.
Mississippi's Walk for Diabetes on Sunday, October 26
If you are in town for the weekend and looking for something to do on Sunday after BBQ Throwdown, then join in on the fun at Mississippi's Walk for Diabetes on the Ole Miss campus at the Lyceum loop. Registration begins at 1pm on Sunday and plan on having plenty of food, fun, music, and kids' activities. Every dollar raised will stay in Mississippi! Championship teams will compete in a Memphis Barbecue Network-sanctioned cook-off with the Grand Champion winning a paid spot in the 2009 MBN Invitational
Amateur teams will compete against each other to determine who cooks the best ribs and/or shoulder.

We are extending the deadline for vendor applications to October 1.

Here's your chance to be the judge on who has the best barbeque! You can purchase a sampling of competitive BBQ and pick the best of the best - you will learn what trained judges look for in selecting championship pork. Every vote counts and you can help choose the winner of the People's Choice Contest!
Judges for the contest must have completed the judges training class provided by the Memphis Barbecue Network.
